The Heart & Hands Behind The Pressed Pearl
I started The Pressed Pearl after planning my own wedding in 2024, when I fell in love with the tactile beauty and timeless charm of letterpress invitations. I had quickly discovered how hard it was to find designs that felt personal and aligned with our vision—especially when we wanted something custom and cohesive without sacrificing quality.
So, I did what any type-A bride with a Pinterest board full of paper goods would do: I figured it out myself. That journey led me (and now my husband, Eric—now affectionately known as my “printer’s devil”) to an antique press in Indianapolis, days of hands-on training in Cincinnati, and eventually to building The Pressed Pearl from the ground up—quite literally with ink on my hands and our sweet rescue pup, Huck, at my feet.
Today, I bring that same hands-on spirit, creative passion, and marketing background to each invitation suite I design. This isn’t just paper—it’s the most meaningful mail you’ll ever send, and I treat it with the care it deserves.

When I couldn’t find invitations that matched my vision during my own wedding planning, I dove headfirst into the world of letterpress. That journey led me to a restored tabletop press in Indianapolis, a crash course in the art of printing, and a deep love for a craft that’s quickly becoming rare. Each piece you receive from The Pressed Pearl is printed by hand, one at a time, using that very same press. It’s not just a machine—it’s part of the story.
